Terms of Use

The rules, subscriptions and responsibilities that apply when you use CoffeeMeet.

These terms are an agreement between Onur Sercan Yılmaz and Serkan Taşlıçay ("we"), who build and run CoffeeMeet together, and you, the user of the app. Onur Sercan Yılmaz publishes it on the App Store and Google Play. By signing in you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old.
You may have one account, in your own name. The information you give (especially your age) must be accurate.
People whose accounts we closed for breaking our rules may not open new ones.
Convicted sex offenders may not use the App.

2. The service

CoffeeMeet lets people at the same café see and like each other, and chat for a limited time once matched. Café data comes from open sources such as OpenStreetMap; unless a partnership is stated, cafés are independent of CoffeeMeet. We may change, add or remove features.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it. Tell us immediately if you think your account is being used without permission.

4. Conduct

The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In particular, the following are prohibited:

Harassment, threats, stalking, hate speech, discrimination.
Sexual, obscene or violent messages and photos.
Fake profiles, using someone else’s photos, misrepresenting your age or identity.
Commercial use, advertising, spam, asking for money or gifts, scams.
Offering sex work, escort services or any illegal activity.
Using bots, scrapers or automation; trying to bypass security measures or spoof your location.
Sharing other people’s personal information (address, phone, photos) without permission.

5. Content

You are responsible for the content you post (photos, bio, messages) and must have the right to post it. You keep ownership; you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable licence to store, display, resize and blur it only as needed to run the App. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

6. Moderation

Messages and profiles containing inappropriate words are blocked automatically.
You can report or block any user from their profile. When you report someone, your recent messages with them are attached to the report for review.
We aim to review reports within 24 hours. We may remove violating content and restrict or close accounts without notice.
We cooperate with authorities where a crime is suspected.

7. Plus and Pro subscriptions

Plus and Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Price and period are shown on the purchase screen.
A day pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks Plus or Pro for 24 hours; it does not renew. Passes bought back to back add up.
Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase.
The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel in your device’s store account settings. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.
If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends; any unused part of a trial ends when you purchase.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. For consumers in Turkey, as a service performed instantly in electronic form, subscriptions are exempt from the right of withdrawal under art. 15/1-ğ of the Distance Contracts Regulation.
We may change prices; changes are announced in advance under the store’s rules and apply from the next period.

8. Termination

You can delete your account in the App at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, endanger other users or where the law requires. No refund is given for the remaining period of accounts closed for rule violations (without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights).

9. Limitation of liability

The Disclaimer is part of these terms. The App is provided "as is". We do not verify users’ identity, background or statements, and except for intent and gross negligence we are not liable for harm arising from meetings or communication between users. These limitations do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. For significant changes we show the new text in the App and ask for your acceptance; if you do not accept, you can delete your account.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Consumers may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee or Consumer Court of their place of residence within the statutory limits; consumers in the EU keep the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence. Otherwise the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction.
