Community Guidelines & Safety
Rules and tips to keep CoffeeMeet comfortable and safe for everyone.
On CoffeeMeet people are in a real place, at the same time. Respect and safety come first.
Rules
- Be yourself: use your own photos and your real age.
- Be respectful: "no", or no reply, is an answer. Don’t insist, and don’t go to someone’s table uninvited.
- Don’t photograph or share other people at the café without their permission.
- No sexual messages or photos; no swearing, insults or hate speech.
- No selling, advertising, asking for money or scams.
- Respect café staff and the venue; nobody should be bothered because of CoffeeMeet.
- If you see a profile you think belongs to someone under 18, report it.
Safety tips
- Meet in busy public places; being at a café is a good start.
- Don’t share your home address, workplace, phone number or social accounts right away.
- Tell a friend where you are and who you are with.
- Keep your drink in sight.
- If you feel uncomfortable, leave, use "Leave café" to drop off the list, and block the person.
- Report anyone who asks for money, gift cards or investments.
- Use a "hidden" check-in (Plus) if you don’t want to appear in the café list.
Reporting and blocking
Open the person’s profile → the shield icon at the top → Report or Block. A blocked person can no longer see you or message you. Reports are confidential; we never tell someone who reported them.
Emergencies
- If you are in immediate danger, call the local emergency number (112 in Turkey and the EU).
- Safety reports about the App: sostechlabs@gmail.com
